There is a sentence every owner has heard: “Sir, diesel dalwaya.” It is delivered with confidence and zero litres. Sometimes there is a photo of a receipt taken at an angle previously used only by ransom notes.
Fuel is where trip profit goes to become a rumour. A full tank that is not attached to a vehicle is just a story. Attach it, and the margin either holds or it doesn’t. Both outcomes are useful. Only one of them is comfortable.
Voice entry exists for this exact moment. Speak the litres, the amount, the vehicle. The form stops being a blank page you will “fill in the evening”, which is a phrase that means never.
FASTag has the same habit of disappearing into “toll laga tha”. Of course toll laga tha. The question is how much, on which run, and whether the client is paying for the tunnel or you are.
Sarcasm aside, the fix is dull on purpose. Every litre sits on a trip or a vehicle. Ask for the month’s diesel against petrol if you want a picture. Then argue with the picture, not with a voice note.
